About Us

Smooth Parking,
Smooth City.

What changes urban mobility isn't the cars in motion — it's where they stop.
Smooth turns parking lots into mobility ports,
building the infrastructure the next era depends on.

SCROLL

VISION

Make a dull worldmore interesting.

Rather than lamenting the world, stand on the side that changes it. Use technology to redefine society's defaults and build a more interesting world no one has seen before. That's where Smooth begins.

INSPIRED BY

Shinsaku Takasugi (1839–1867)

From his death poem: "Make a dull world an interesting one."

MISSION

Create smoothurban experiences.

Mobility payments evolved through transit IC cards and ETC — and parking is the last frontier. Smooth seamlessly connects every payment around movement and fundamentally redesigns urban infrastructure for the autonomous age.

Challenge

Fully automate

Parking, fueling, charging, toll gates. Every time we move by car, we lose time and attention to payments and authentication. Smooth combines camera-based recognition with payment to turn these touchpoints into something users pass through unconsciously. What we envision beyond that is a city where the very concept of "procedure" disappears from every car-related moment.

What We Take On

Three things
we take on.

Authentication,down to one camera.

Cameras recognize vehicles and connect them to a pre-registered account automatically. No card to pull out, no app to open. We're driving the actions required for authentication down to zero.

Make paymentfade from awareness.

Authentication, billing, and settlement complete together. By the time you've stepped out of the car, the payment is done. From parking to fueling, charging, and tolls — we'll keep car-related payments running silently in the background.

From parking lotsto the entire city.

Starting from over 100,000 hourly parking lots in Japan, we'll gradually expand the auth and payment infrastructure. EV charging, autonomous mobility hubs, toll gates, drive-thrus. We'll connect every place a car stops and redesign the urban mobility experience itself.

FOUNDER & CEO

Japan, squeezed between limited land and a large population, has long struggled with a chronic shortage of parking. And yet, compared to other countries, the digital transformation of hourly parking lots remains far behind. With experiences built around lock plates and payment kiosks, don't many drivers feel a quiet, constant stress?

In a few years, autonomous vehicles will be running through our cities as a matter of course. Driverless cars will enter parking lots on their own, pay on their own, and drive away on their own. In that world, payment kiosks, lock plates, and gates are no longer needed. Smooth's "just enter and leave" automatic payment is the very standard equipment of that future.

Smooth isn't only changing today's parking experience for human drivers — we're laying down, right now, the infrastructure tomorrow's autonomous-vehicle cities will depend on. First, we'll radically reshape existing parking lots, building a "smooth parking, smooth city" for everyone.
